Castoriadis Cornelius – The Imaginary Institution of Society

(eagainst) This is one of the most original and important works of the radical Greek philosopher Cornelius Castoriadis who is distinguished for the deep analysis and clarity of his thought. He deals with a wide area of issues, such like critiques of Marxism and capitalism, autonomy, he despises conformity and all the cultural dead ends of the Western world, he also speaks about social imaginary and the extreme adherence to productivism.

Despite that this is not an easy work, his dialectical and argumentative approach, together with his well supported analysis make it extremely enlightening! A must read for those who are seeking answers to the problems of our modern society.
